It’s a grey day with a featureless sky. Not raining yet but looking like it’ll start soon. I head for the sea, snapping as I go: architectural details, pigeons, shop windows, leaves on cars… when I get to the sea its as flat as the sky, even more so, not a wave in sight. Listening to 2 women on the table behind me talking about problems with friends who are SO DIFFICULT. A woman on another table is trying with little success to shoo pigeons away from her biscuits. One lands on my table, I photo that too, and then it shits on my table. I sneeze loudly as I head up the hill homewards and a woman behind me calls out ‘bless you!’ Then onwards past various truants, homeless, tattooed smokers on doorsteps.
